30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.
Nothing wrong with charm (unless they're lucky charms...not the cereal), nothing wrong with beauty. In and of themselves.
But if charm and beauty are the only things you have going for you, you're in for a shock. Because sometimes we use our charm to be manipulative. It can be deceptive. And outward beauty doesn't always last. Unless you're one of those charming old ladies in the dove campaign for real beauty.
Actually, the beauty that for sure doesn't last is the beauty that is altered in order to last. Cases in point. They look fake. And when you compare their look now to 30 years ago, you can see why they try so hard to preserve their beauty.
What lasts? What should a woman be known for besides charm and beauty? Her fear of the Lord.
